Guest Speaker: Oka Sanerivi, University of Otago
In this session, Oka Sanerivi, PhD Candidate from the University of Otago will discuss Cultural safety in Physiotherapy (and health) service delivery.
This will be followed up with a knowledge translation session in November.
Oka is a Samoan/Tongan Physiotherapy clinician, manager, Director and emerging researcher. Oka has recently submitted his PhD in Physiotherapy. His doctoral research explored clinical cultural safety for Samoan families. Oka lives in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa/Gisborne, with his wife, four children, a puppy, two lambs and eight chickens, on an orange orchard.
