Neurodevelopment Network - Lunch & Learn NZ Series
Implications to practice:
The Research and Reality of Therapy in Schools
12pm - 12.30pm | Tuesday 12 March, 2024 | Hosted on Zoom
Facilitator: Donna Smith
Guest: Mindy Silva
In this session, Donna Smith will facilitate small group discussions on the implications of last month’s L&L with Mindy Silva on The Research and Reality of Therapy in Schools.
The objective of the previous L&L with Mindy looked at the current evidence base for therapy in schools and raised questions about the value and effectiveness of this model of care for children with cerebral palsy.
To enhance learning and active participation in the knowledge translation session we invite you to watch the recording of last month’s session.
Three questions to think about ahead of the Knowledge Translation session, which we will collaboratively discuss are:
1. How can we utilise local therapy teams and local level agreements to support parents.
2. How can we do a better job of supporting healthy growing bodies for kids with CP in our current system.
3. What is worth keeping and what do we need to contest with current service provision between health and education.
