CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR PSNZ COUNCIL

Tēnā koutou,

We’re calling for nominations for four Regional Representatives on the Council of The Paediatric Society of New Zealand | Te Kāhui Mātai Arotamariki o Aotearoa (PSNZ):

  • Allied Health/Nursing Representative - Mid Central (Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Gisborne)
  • Medical Representative - Mid Central (Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Gisborne)
  • Medical Representative - Upper South Island (Christchurch, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast)
  • Allied Health/Nursing Representative - Lower South Island (Timaru, Dunedin, Invercargill)

This role offers an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow PSNZ members, contribute to positive health outcomes for tamariki and rangatahi, and grow your leadership within both the PSNZ and the wider child health sector.

Council members participate in quarterly meetings with a warm and collaborative group of child health professionals. Meetings are typically held in the evenings via Teams, with an additional Annual General Meeting in November each year. Time commitment varies, but is generally around an hour and a half per meeting.

To apply, please review the attached Councillor Position Profile and nomination form. Nominations must be supported by two current PSNZ members (as nominator and seconder).

Please send your completed nomination form, a brief paragraph outlining your interest in the role, and ideally a CV, to [email protected]

Nominations close Friday 5 September 2025, 5.00pm
