About the Speaker
Dr Cynthia Ward brings over two decades of specialised experience in caring for children with serious and life-limiting illnesses. As a Nurse Specialist and founder of True Colours Children's Health Trust, Dr Wards' Master's research explores what matters most to children living with life-threatening illness, and her PhD work examines care models for children with serious conditions and their families.
In recognition of her exceptional service, Dr Ward was awarded the Queen's Service Medal in 2018 for services to children. She currently works as an Independent Nurse Specialist and Professional Supervisor, continuing her advocacy for equitable, child-centred care across Aotearoa.
