Overview of Skin Integrity: The guidelines provide a new comprehensive examination of the unique challenges in maintaining skin integrity for extremely preterm infants, highlighting their particular vulnerabilities and why specialised care approaches are essential.
Badgernet Skin Assessment Tools: Standardised assessment tools are now available in electronic patient records, endorsed by the Expert Clinical Advisory Group. These include the CPAP skin assessment scoring tool, Neonatal Skin Condition Score (NSCS), and nasal septum assessment, enabling consistent and timely monitoring of skin health across services.
