PSNZ has made a submission on PHARMAC's proposal to amend Special Authority access criteria for Type 2 diabetes medicines. While supporting a lower cardiovascular risk threshold for access, PSNZ has raised strong concerns about the proposed removal of ethnicity-based criteria, warning it could undermine equity gains for Māori and Pacific peoples with the condition.
